

The Marra Mob is an Aboriginal Arts Group and network formed by the local Aboriginal artists who live, work or have a recognised connection to the Blue Mountains. ‘Marra’ means ‘hand’ and has commonalities in other languages which may vary with pronunciation. The group comprises of artists from the local Darug and Gundungurra people, as well as people from other Indigenous language groups from around Australia. The representation of so many different Aboriginal communities throughout Australia is reflected in the work of different styles in visuals arts, dance and music. 
The Marra Mob aim to promote and provide local people and visitors to the region an appreciation for Indigenous art and culture from the Blue Mountains.
